Problem:

When using the IDAutomation Data Matrix ActiveX Barcode Control in MS Word, Excel, Access, or Visual Basic, the PreferredFormat and EncodingMode properties will revert to their original, default settings. This will occur after the settings are changed and the document, worksheet, or project is saved, closed, and reopened.

Solution(s):

This is a known issue with the Data Matrix Barcode Control purchased or downloaded before February 17, 2005. This issue has been corrected in the current release of the product.
