This problem occurs because there is an error processing the ASP script, and the “Friendly HTTP error messages” are enabled in Internet Explorer, which suppresses the error details.

This issue applies to the Streaming Barcode Server for IIS, the ASP.NET Web Server Control, as well as custom ASP and ASP.NET applications.

Solution(s):

In IE, turn off the “Friendly HTTP error messages” by choosing Tools – Internet Options – Advanced. The full error messages, as well as the line number of the error, will then be displayed.
